Our Annual Events

The Boys & Girls Club Alton throws the following annual events for the club kids.

Community Easter Egg Hunt

Each year local youth are invited to participate in an Easter egg hunt at the Club. Aside from the egg hunt, there are always lots of fun activities likes Easter-themed games, inflatables, and face painting.

Trunk-A-Treat

In mid-October each year we host Trunk-A-Treat, a fun Halloween event outside the Club. We invite kids in the community to come in costume for a spooktacular night. Each year we are in need of community members to volunteer and decorate their trunks and distribute candy.

Holiday Shopping Spree

WLCA 89.9 Radio station located on the campus of Lewis and Clark Community College sponsors a “Shopping Spree” for deserving club members. Each year 50 youth are selected to participate based on need, attendance, and program participation. Each youth receives $50 to spend on themselves and or loved ones. Special Thanks to Mike Lemons and his students for the continuous support for this program.

Club Christmas Party

The club hosts a party for more than 100 club members between the ages of 6-11 years old, with assistance from the Alton High School Student Council. All club members in attendance receive a Christmas gift (provided by Community Christmas) and participate in exciting holiday-themed activities.

Koats 4 Kids

New or gently used coats are distributed to youth in the community to assure that all kids are kept warm. Coats are distributed on a first come first serve basis. Coats are generously donated by community members and area businesses.
